ABOUT THE CHOIR

Home School Singers began in Westerville in September 2018 with one choir of 15 students and quickly grew to two choirs of about 30 students each.  Things came to a pause during the COVID pandemic and I am currently setting out to rebuild the program.  Currently, Home School Singers is available to students in grades k-7th (unchanged voices).  I hope to offer a choir for high school students in the future.  During rehearsals students will learn many vocal warm-ups and a variety of songs for improving their singing ability. Students will be exposed to many music theory concepts such as: pitch, rhythm, dynamics, diction, posture, breathing techniques, following conductor cues, performance etiquette and many more. Most sessions culminate with a community service performance and an evening performance for families and friends.
